Noolpuzha Panchayat is situated in the eastern part of Wayanad district, which shares a common boundary with the states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu in Kerala's border districts. It is Noolpuzha Panchayat that gives Wayanad the distinction of having a common boundary with two states in Kerala. Noolpuzha Panchayat extends over an area of 242.97 square kilometers in Sultan Bathery Taluk. Geographically, like other areas of Wayanad, Noolpuzha Panchayat is also a continuation of the Nilgiri ecological zone. Most of the northeastern side borders the Mysore district of Karnataka. History of Grama Panchayat

Noolpuzha Grama Panchayat has a rich historical and cultural heritage deeply rooted in tribal traditions, agricultural prosperity, and social harmony. The Panchayat was officially formed under G.O. MS (B) 421/68 dated 02.09.1968 and came into existence in 1971. Before its formation, the area was part of Nenmeni Panchayat and Sulthan Bathery Panchayat. The history of the Panchayat is closely connected with the indigenous tribal communities living in the forests and valleys surrounding the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary.
