History of Grama Panchayat
Noolpuzha Grama Panchayat has a rich historical and cultural heritage deeply rooted in tribal traditions, agricultural prosperity, and social harmony. The Panchayat was officially formed under G.O. MS (B) 421/68 dated 02.09.1968 and came into existence in 1971. Before its formation, the area was part of Nenmeni Panchayat and Sulthan Bathery Panchayat. The history of the Panchayat is closely connected with the indigenous tribal communities living in the forests and valleys surrounding the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary.
